Sangmi CHA (Moderator)

Sangmi Cha is an Asia Equities Reporter for Bloomberg in Hong Kong. She covers a multitude of companies from Greater China and other countries, the impact of monetary policies and geopolitics on markets, and wider investment strategies across sectors. Prior to joining the Hong Kong bureau, she worked for Bloomberg News in South Korea covering politics, and at Reuters before that. She also served as a TV reporter as well as host of Arirang TV’s “The Point: World Affairs” while based in Seoul. She also worked as a professional translator in Bulgaria.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle, as well as a Master’s Degree in Policy Studies from Seoul National University in Seoul.

In her free time she enjoys traveling with her family, mastering her pilates, and discovering new restaurants around town.
