Avinash is the Portfolio Manager for our Industrials, Materials & Energy Team at Citadel International Equities.
Avi joins us from Torq Capital where he was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer. He commenced his career at Merrill Lynch and Och-Ziff Capital before joining Citadel Global Equities as an analyst in 2005 and was promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2006. Avi then joined Balyasny as a Portfolio Manager in 2009 and was subsequently head of the Asia business. In 2016, Avi launched Torq Capital Management, a successful Asia market neutral hedge fund with over 25 employees and offices in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Avi graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
